STEM Classes -Your Wednesday classes
Engineering ( Ms. Jeanne): Reviewed common engineering themes/skill - the engineering design process, vocabulary and drafting skills. Attached is drafting homework for the upper elementary and middle-schoolers. Please note that during class, they did top, front and side views (not to scale) and that the homework includes drawing to scale. For those that want to try drawing it to scale, great. If not, just do the views without concerning themselves with the scale.
Physics (Ann): This semester we are taking on the topics of electricity and circuits. The kids had a blast building circuits to make a motor spin a flag. This week, series and parallel circuits. And even more challenges ahead....
Anatomy Homework: Review the new vocabulary.
Middle school - sensory, processing, motor, Central Nervous System (CNS), Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), flight or fight and rest/digest, afferent, integration/processing, efferent, Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), Somatic Nervous System, Parasympathetic Nervous System, and Sympathetic Nervous System.
Coming soon - we will be beginning Cranial Nerves and Cranial nerve testing! So much to look forward to! Also a handout is attached from the middle school class.
